Erica White has proudly called Madison home since 2016. She is an electrical engineer and small business owner who believes in practical, data-driven solutions and collaboration. These skills, combined with her passion for service, shape her approach to leadership on the Madison City Council.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Erica is a graduate of Tuskegee University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Service has always been an important part of her life. She has volunteered with several local organizations across North Alabama, building relationships and supporting families. Through these experiences, she has gained a deep understanding of the needs and priorities of Madison residents.
Erica and her husband, Tim, have two daughters, and as a wife and mother, she is personally invested in the future of the city. She is committed to promoting thoughtful growth, supporting Madison’s top-ranked schools, improving roads and infrastructure, ensuring support for first responders, and maintaining transparent communication with residents.
Erica believes Madison’s greatest strength is its people, and she is honored to serve the city of Madison with integrity, energy, and a heart for the community.
An increase in Madison City’s population means a greater need for improved infrastructure. Many updates have been made, and more updates are coming. I want to learn what residents think are greatest areas of improvement, and I will find solutions to the most pressing issues in the most fiscally responsible way - all while keeping residents informed.

I truly believe that the foundation of our city’s success is the Madison City School system. Here, you can get premium education, publicly priced. I'm committed to working with the Board of Education to maintain the phenomenal school system that’s been built, and support its continued growth by ensuring that all families across the city have access to the outstanding educational opportunities it provides.
I will prioritize strong partnerships with our police, fire, and emergency medical personnel to ensure the continued safety and well-being of all residents. These professionals are the backbone of our city's emergency response system, and it is essential that they are equipped with the resources necessary to do their jobs effectively.
Madison is unique. We have a wide range of residents: those whose families have been here for generations, and those who’ve just relocated here recently. As the city grows, so do the needs of the population. I want to support growth that focuses on sustainable, equitable development that centers community priorities, safeguards the environment, and supports long-term economic resilience.
