Biography

Erica White is a dedicated community advocate, former Army Civilian and local business owner running for Madison City Council to bring integrity, accountability, and thoughtful leadership to District 6. She has lived in Madison since 2016 and is deeply invested in the city’s future, its neighborhoods, and the quality of life for all residents.

With over a decade of experience in federal service as an Electrical engineer, Erica brings a strong background in leadership and strategic planning. She now leads a successful property management company,  a real estate investment firm focused on revitalizing affordable housing, and a residential landscaping company that enhances curb appeal and livability for homeowners.  Her work has helped improve neighborhoods, support economic development, and contribute to the beauty and functionality of homes throughout Madison and the greater Huntsville area.

Erica is also a proud wife and mother. She and her husband are raising two young children who will soon be entering Madison City Schools, giving her a personal stake in ensuring the strength and success of our public education system. As a parent, she’s committed to helping shape a Madison that works for families now and in the future.

Her commitment to service runs deep. Erica has volunteered as a Court Appointed Juvenile Advocate (CAJA), an adult education tutor, a direct care hospice volunteer, and also an usher at her church. Her leadership values - integrity, respect, and accountability - are at the heart of every decision she makes.

As a candidate, Erica is focused on real solutions for the real issues facing Madison:

• Improving roads and infrastructure to ease traffic congestion and enhance walkability

• Supporting a strong public school system by working collaboratively with the Board of Education

• Encouraging thoughtful city growth that balances economic development with the preservation of green spaces

• Ensuring first responders have the resources and support needed to keep Madison safe
