ABOUT ERICA

Erica, a native of Detroit, MI, moved to North Alabama in 2010 after graduating from Tuskegee University to begin her career as an Electrical Engineer for the federal government. After 11 years in the federal service, she transitioned to being a full-time entrepreneur and a full time Mom. Erica has been a Madison resident since 2010, and a District 6 resident since 2016. 


Erica has served as a Court Appointed Juvenile Advocate, a Direct Care Hospice Volunteer, an Adult Education Tutor, and an Usher at her church. 


With a heart for service, serving on the City Council feels like a natural transition. She's excited to learn about the needs of her constituents, advocate for policy that best impacts their day-to-day lives, and participate in the shaping of the Madison of the future.

An increase in Madison City’s population means a greater need for improved infrastructure. Many updates have been made, and more updates are coming. I want to learn what residents think are greatest areas of improvement, and I want to work with Madison City leadership to find solutions to the most pressing issues in the most fiscally responsible way - all while keeping residents informed.
